Special Cakes for Special Events!
After receiving a Bachelors of Arts Degree in
Visual Art
from Columbia College,
I taught art in the public schools for over ten years.
It was when I began to pursue
my art
on a personal level
that I began to revert back to
my first love...CAKE!
I grew up in a southern kitchen
learning to make cakes from my mom.
Homemade cakes (and lots of those
cakes) were always on hand for celebrations and holidays,
to comfort a friend in a loss or
just
a friendly gift for visiting our home.
I began using those cakes as basic forms on which to apply art techniques and
create unique designs.
Nothing makes me happier than to be able to share in an amazing day by combining
my love for cakes, art and people. It makes for a great recipe!
